Child & Teen Therapy in Los Angeles
Helping kids understand their feelings, build confidence, and navigate growing up.
Helping kids understand their feelings, build confidence, and navigate growing up.
As a therapist with five years of experience as a school counselor, I understand how difficult it can be to watch your child struggle with big emotions, friendships, anxiety, or the challenges of growing up.
Childhood and adolescence come with so many transitions, and sometimes children need a little extra support navigating them. I work with children and teens in a warm, playful, and developmentally appropriate way, helping them better understand themselves, build emotional awareness, and feel more confident in navigating life's challenges.
My goal is to create a space where your child feels understood and supported, while also helping you feel more confident in supporting them at home.
Every child is different. I tailor therapy to each young person's developmental stage, personality, and individual needs.
I work with children and teens who are:
Experiencing anxiety, worry, or difficulty managing uncertainty.
Navigating big feelings like anger, sadness, frustration, or overwhelm.
Struggling with friendships, social dynamics, or feeling left out.
Working through grief or significant life changes.
Experiencing school-related stress, perfectionism, or social anxiety.
Developing self-esteem, confidence, and a stronger sense of self.
Navigating family changes, transitions, and the challenges of adolescence.
Therapy looks different depending on a child's age, developmental stage, and individual needs.
For younger children
Children don't always have the words to explain what they're experiencing. I use creative and developmentally appropriate approaches to help children express themselves, explore their emotions, and build coping skills. Sessions may incorporate play, drawing, storytelling, conversation, and other hands-on activities.
For tweens and teens
Therapy provides a space to explore friendships, identity, family relationships, anxiety, self-esteem, and the pressures of growing up. I strive to create an environment where teens feel respected and understood, without feeling judged or pressured to share before they're ready.
I believe therapy works best when we work as a team. Parents are an important part of a child's support system, and I value collaborating with families throughout the therapeutic process.
Depending on your child's age and needs, this may include regular parent check-ins, separate consultations, or opportunities to participate in sessions.
I can help parents better understand their child's emotional and behavioral needs, recognize patterns, navigate challenging behaviors, and develop practical strategies for supporting emotional regulation and connection at home.
My goal is not to suggest there is one right way to parent, but to help you better understand your child and feel more confident supporting them.
Before becoming a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I spent five years working as a school counselor, supporting children, teens, and families. This experience gave me a deep appreciation for the many factors that shape a young person's emotional well-being, including friendships, family dynamics, academic expectations, and the school environment.
My therapeutic approach is relational and individualized. I draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Narrative Therapy, Mindful Self-Compassion, and EMDR when clinically appropriate. I also incorporate creative and experiential interventions to make therapy engaging and accessible.
I work with elementary, middle school, and high school-aged children and teens.

Parent involvement is an important part of my work with children. Depending on your child's age and needs, this may include parent check-ins, separate consultations, or participating in sessions. My goal is to help children feel supported both in and outside of therapy while maintaining their individual therapeutic space.
I believe teens benefit from having a space where they can speak openly and feel respected. I prioritize building trust and maintaining their privacy while recognizing the important role parents play in supporting their well-being. I discuss confidentiality and its limits with both teens and parents at the beginning of treatment.
Yes! I offer virtual therapy for children and teens throughout California, when clinically appropriate. Virtual sessions can be a convenient option, particularly for older children and adolescents who feel comfortable engaging in therapy online.
